Ironworkers Local 424

Iron Workers Local 424 was established in 1928 and represents over 400 highly-skilled tradesmen. It covers the territory from the Connecticut River at Old Saybrook, South West down to Greenwich, North along the border of New York to Sharon, and then East including New Milford, Washington, Morris, Watertown, Waterbury, Wolcott, Cheshire, Wallingford, Durham, Haddam, Chester, Deep River, and Essex.

The Local 424 Training Center offers its members a 4-year apprenticeship program covering every aspect of the ironworking trade (Structural, Misc, Reinforcing, Precast, Bridge, Ornamental, and Welding). Additionally, all eligible members receive a set of benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drugs, Hearing, Secure Retirement, and Employee Assistance benefits.
