Founded on January 11, 1926, Ironworkers Local 402 has over 250 skilled structural, rodman, and ornamental ironworkers. Its members have worked on some major projects in the area such as power plants, various industrial projects, churches, theaters, supermarkets, strip malls, packing houses, hot spots, and many more.
Local Union 402 covers an area from Sebastian in Indian River County, south through St. Lucie County, Martin County, Palm Beach County, to Sample Road in Broward County. Its western area includes the counties of Okeechobee, Highlands, Glades, and Hendry.
Along with Apprenticeship training, Local 402 offers continuous learning opportunities and numerous safety classes. Additionally, all members may benefit from extensive Health & Welfare, Dental, Pension, and Annuity plans.
