Ironworkers Local 387

Iron Workers Local 387 is a trade union that represents skilled craftsmen in more than 100 counties in Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. Established on January 30th, 1924, Local 387 is affiliated with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers.

Members of Local 387 undergo a rigorous four-year Apprenticeship and Training Program, which includes classes on various topics such as blueprint reading, tool use and safety, mathematics, welding, oxy-acetylene flame cutting, and more. In addition to training, eligible members receive a range of benefits, such as higher wages, medical and pension plans, and annuity.
