Chartered June 13, 1937, Local 965 represents nearly 1,100 workers at Alliant Energy, Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative, Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative, Everbrite, Inc. in Pardeeville, Richland Electric Cooperative, Rock Energy Cooperative, Union Financial advisors. Its members are divided into several categories of electrical work, including Electrical Manufacturing, Government, Professional Technical and Clerical, and Utility.
Local’s main purpose is to ensure safe working conditions for all members, advocate for reasonable work hours, secure employment and adequate pay, settle employment disputes and provide all members with a higher standard of living.
