IBEW Local 175 represents over 3,600 electrical workers in Southeast Tennessee, Northwest Georgia, and Northeast Alabama. It was chartered on June 26, 1912, as a part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).
Local 175 has jurisdiction over all Outside, Inside, Utility, Maintenance, annually rated employees of TVA engaged in transmission construction and power systems operations maintenance, Electrical Manufacturing, and Communications work across the counties it serves.
The union offers a variety of benefits programs to its members, including Electrician/Wireman Apprenticeship and Lineman Apprenticeship training, scholarships, etc.
