IBEW Local 1 represents over 7,400 active members and retirees working in a variety of fields including construction, telecommunications, manufacturing, and government. It serves the City of St. Louis and 25 Missouri counties. The jurisdiction stretches from Lincoln County on the north to Warren and Franklin counties on the west, the Arkansas state line on the south, and the Mississippi River on the east.
Members of IBEW Local 1 perform electrical construction for numerous specialty contractors as well as a wide range of electrical work for manufacturers, automatic door companies, appliance repair shops, lightning rod companies, alarm and security companies, motor repair shops, and electrical supply houses.
The Local Union provides its members with comprehensive and high-class training programs, funded through the IBEW/NECA Labor-Management partnership.
