Carpenters Local 20 is a labor union representing over 550 highly skilled Carpenters who serve all of Staten Island, Governors Island, and Liberty Island. It is a branch of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBCJA) and the New York City District Council of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Carpenters Local 20 offers comprehensive training for journeyman carpenters and apprentices, providing them with the skills needed to complete various tasks such as concrete formwork, metal and wood framing, drywall, flooring, architectural woodwork, and roofing.
The training program is provided by a fully accredited Labor Technical College and includes both theoretical knowledge and practical on-the-job experience.
