Ironworkers Local 28 is a trade union that has been representing members across the state of Virginia since 1901. Located in Midlothian, VA, its membership is made up of more than 300 highly trained tradesmen.
They have worked on many important projects within their jurisdiction. Among them are the Historic First National Bank and Dominion Tower in Richmond City, the Varina-Enon Bridge, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge, and the Taubman Museum of Art.
All of its members complete the 4-year Apprenticeship program covering Structural, Architectural and Ornamental, Reinforcing, Metal Building Systems, and Welding. Furthermore, members of Local 28 are eligible for a variety of benefit packages, including Health and Wellness benefits and a number of retirement plans.
