Ironworkers Local 451

Chartered on February 5, 1934, Ironworkers Local 451 is a trade union representing over 300 members in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Its members work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects such as the erection of bridges, power plants, steel mills, oil refineries, and blast furnaces.

Members of Local 451 get intensive training through a certified apprenticeship program that includes classes on Structural steel erection, Rigging, Blueprint reading, Welding, flame cutting and plasma arc welding, Reinforcing concrete, Fence installation, and so on. Furthermore, its members are eligible for a variety of benefit packages, including Medical coverage, Dental care, an HRA plan, Annuity, and Pension benefits.
