IBEW Local 20 was chartered on July 20, 1998, by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Currently, it serves 2,700 Electrical professionals and workers of related trades across 20 counties in Texas. The Union’s jurisdiction covers all Inside and Utility work.
Local 20 is dedicated to providing its members with different benefit programs. Among these are health and welfare plans with dependent coverage as well as separate and distinct pension plans with eligibility running concurrently. Union members also have the advantage of receiving job-specific training. They may apply for continuing Education Courses at the North Texas Joint Apprentice Training Center or enroll in the Apprenticeship program at the Local 20 Apprentice School, etc.
