Plumbers & Steamfitters UA Local 22 was established on October 1st, 1997, through the merger of three other locals of the United Association. Its jurisdiction covers Western New York, stretching from the Canadian border to the Pennsylvania state line.
Union members hold specialized skills in Plumbing, Steamfitting, Pipefitting, Medical Gas/Dental Gas, Fabrication, Skid Fabrication, HVAC Installation & Service, Ammonia System Installation and Service, Ice Skating Rinks, etc.
Local 22 offers its members Journeymen / Apprentice Training Program that covers 3 areas within the trade: plumbing, steamfitting, and HVAC service. The union also offers a variety of benefits to over 1,900 active and retired members. Among them are pension, health and annuity benefits, prescription drugs, dental coverage, etc.
