UA Local 174 represents West Michigan’s Union Plumbers, Fitters, and Service Trades. Currently, its membership encompasses nearly 1,000 skilled craftsmen who serve Kent, Lake, Manistee, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, Ottawa, and Ionia Counties in Michigan.
They work on power plants, schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, single-family homes, or anything in between. They also install, renovate and maintain plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems.
Operating under the parent exemption of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry (UA), Local 174 is committed to helping its members by securing better and safer working conditions, higher pay, medical coverage, secure retirement plans, fair collective bargaining process, and access to top-notch training.
