IUOE Local 9 is a Hoisting and Portable local in Colorado that represents approximately 1,500 heavy equipment operators, mechanics, welders/fabricators, miners, and commercial drivers. Its members work on a diverse range of projects, including bridges, tunnels, highways, processing plants, renewable energy generation, mines, utility distribution, pipelines, housing, and other critical infrastructure developments.
Through the Colorado Journeyman and Apprentice Training (CJAT) and International Training and Education Center (ITEC), Local 9 provides continuing education and Apprenticeship training to its members. Additionally, all eligible members receive a set of benefits, such as Medical Insurance and Pension benefits.
