Established in 1906, IUOE Local 324 is a trade union representing over 14,000 qualified workers and retirees throughout the entire state of Michigan. Its members can be found installing the indispensable water, sewer, and utility infrastructure, building and repairing Michigan’s roadways, the state’s crucial distribution pipelines of natural gas and oil, factories, arenas, schools, hospitals, commercial buildings, and so on.
The Local 324 training center offers its members various apprenticeship programs that offer several years of formal training combined with on-the-job experience. The Local Union also provides its members with family-sustaining wages, health and welfare plans, pension benefits, and more.
