Ironworkers Local 89 represents approximately 400 highly trained craftsmen who serve Mitchell, Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Floyd, Chickasaw, Fayette, Clayton, Grundy, Butler, Bremer, Buchanan, and 10 more counties in Iowa.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to the erection of structural steel buildings and bridges, raising pre-cast units, installing ornamental components, and working with all forms of concrete reinforcement.
Northeast Iowa Local 89 JATC provides extensive multi-year apprenticeship programs, journeyman upgrading classes, and numerous certifications to all union members. Additionally, eligible members receive a range of benefits including medical coverage and retirement plans.
