Ironworkers Local Union 492 is located in Nashville, TN, and currently represents over 450 highly skilled and safe Ironworkers. Its jurisdiction covers Allen, Barren, Cumberland, Christian, Logan, Monroe, Simpson, Todd, and Warren counties in Kentucky and 25 counties in Tennessee.
Local 492 members possess expertise in a variety of ironworking-related fields, including steel erection on buildings and bridges, plant maintenance, concrete reinforcing, conveyor work, sheeting, welding, rigging, fence erecting, curtain wall, window wall, and a variety of other specialty work.
In cooperation with Nashville Area Joint Apprenticeship Committee, Local 492 offers its members a top-tier multi-year apprenticeship program as well as continuous education classes. Additionally, all eligible members get a benefits package that includes Health and Welfare and Retirement plans.
