IBEW Local 659 represents about 2,200 construction workers in Benton, Coos, Curry, Del Norte, Douglas, Harney, and 10 more counties across Oregon and California. Its members are responsible for all Outside, Telephone, Utility, Inside, Teledata, CATV, Sound and Communication, and Electrical Manufacturing work in the counties they serve.
Chartered in 1937, IBEW Local 659 is a child organization that operates under the parent exemption of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). The union provides its members with a range of benefit packages that include Apprenticeship and Continuing Education for Electricians at Crater Lake Electrical Training Center, medical and dental coverage, annuity, and a pension plan.
