Membership of IBEW Local 44 is composed of members that are employed in Montana’s Utilities, Electric Cooperatives, Utility Locating, Outside Line Construction, Radio – Television Broadcasting, Shopmen, and Line Clearance Tree Trimming and Motor Shop Work. Its jurisdiction covers Sweet Grass, Teton, Toole, Valley, Wheatland, and 27 more counties in Montana.
Local Union was chartered on November 1, 1959, as a subsidiary organization of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
The Local offers a variety of services to its members, including a high-class training program by the Mountain States Line Constructors Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, various scholarships, health and retirement plans, annuity, etc.
