Founded on November 16, 1939, IBEW Local 387 has jurisdiction over the employees of the Central Arizona Light Company, Arizona Public Service Company, Asplundh Tree Expert Co., Arizona Water Company, Graham County Electric Cooperative, Navopache Electric Cooperative, and Uni-Source Energy Services. Its membership includes nearly 1,400 Electrical Manufacturing, Line Clearance Tree Trimming, and Utility Electrical engineers.
The Local Union is a subsidiary organization of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Members of LU 387 have the advantage of receiving job-specific training. National Utility Industry Training Fund provides Electricians with access to a robust training program. Additionally, all interested members may benefit from quality medical coverage, pension, Union Plus program, etc.
