Carpenters Local 1281, chartered in 1938, is the largest Carpenters Local in the State of Alaska. Operating as part of the Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters, the local union proudly represents Union Carpenters, Millwrights, Lathers, Metal Stud Framers, Sheetrockers, Acoustical Ceilings workers, Welders, and Insulators who work in Alaska’s Southcentral region, south of the 63rd parallel.
