Carpenters Local 277 is a union of carpenters in New York, United States. It was created in April 2011 when the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America combined former Local 281 and Local 747. The union has more than 3,000 members who work in various sectors of the construction industry and serve 21 counties in New York covering the Northern, Central, and Southern Tier areas.
It is affiliated with the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters (NASRCC) and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Local 277 offers its members a range of benefits including medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision coverage, as well as accident and sickness insurance, life insurance, supplemental retirement income, and a pension plan.
