Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 9 serves nearly 2,500 skilled workers in Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Burlington, Ocean, Hunterdon, and Somerset counties throughout Central New Jersey.
Its members are employed at a variety of workplaces, including nuclear and conventional generating stations, petroleum refineries and pharmaceutical industries, universities, hospitals, and local schools. They may also be found working in single-family houses, condos, apartments, and small businesses.
The Union provides extensive apprenticeship and journeyman training through UA Local 9 Training Center. Additionally, its members may benefit from Medical and Dental coverage, Retirement plans, Surety Funds, Disability assistance, and other benefit programs.
