UA Local 7 has nearly 1,200 skilled Plumbers, Pipefitters, and HVAC Service technicians who serve Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Schoharie Counties, and portions of Hamilton and Saratoga Counties in New York. Members of Local 7 work in different construction Industries including Heavy Industrial, Commercial, and Residential Sectors.
Local 7, Plumbers and Steamfitters was chartered in 1894 as a part of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry.
