Plumbers UA Local 68 currently maintains a membership of over 1,800 skilled workers who serve the areas of Houston, Galveston, Beaumont, Bryan, College Station, Victoria, Corpus Christi, and the Rio Grande Valley, as well as the 62 surrounding counties in Texas. Local Union was chartered in May 1892 as a branch of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry.
The Local Union provides its members with a range of educational benefits through the Houston Area Plumbing Joint Apprenticeship Committee (HAPJAC). Additionally, members and their families receive the following benefits: health and welfare plan, dental and vision assistance for children of current members, pension, prescription drug coverage, and so on.
