UA Local 524 was founded on January 21st, 1911, and covers northeastern Pennsylvania. Its geographical jurisdiction includes Lackawant, Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Wayne, Schuylkill, Monroe, Pike, Carbon, Bradford County east of the Susquehanna River, Berwick, and Vicinity in Columbia County, and part of Sullivan county. It currently has nearly 650 highly trained 800 Pipefitters And Plumbers.
A number of other Locals have also joined UA 524 throughout its history. Among them are UA Local 443, Local 147, Local 425, Local 517, Local 655, and Local 90.
