UA Local 172 Plumbers and Pipefitters Technicians work on commercial, industrial, and residential piping projects in the South Bend, Mishawaka, and Northern Indiana areas. It was chartered on June 1, 1899, as a part of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry.
Local 172 in partnership with The Mechanical Contractors Association of Indiana skilled craftsmen in the Plumbing, Pipefitting, and HVAC Technician fields. Additionally, all members get a set of benefits such as medical coverage, dental and eye care, 401(k), a pension plan, etc.
