IUOE Local 877 represents over 1350 stationary engineers and maintenance workers throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. They work as licensed skilled tradesmen in power plants, trash-to-energy facilities, hospitals, and commercial buildings, along with life science research facilities, and educational institutions.
Local 877 administers a 3-year apprenticeship program as well as a wide number of training courses developed by the International Union of Operating Engineers.
