IUOE Local 825 represents around 8,200 highly trained and experienced heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and surveyors who serve numerous contractors throughout New Jersey as well as Rockland, Orange, Ulster, Delaware, and Sullivan counties of New York’s Hudson Valley. The local union was established in 1920 as part of the International Union of Operating Engineers, comprising a workforce of more than 400,000 throughout the United States and Canada.
Local 825 provides extensive programs to its members through its state-of-the-art training centers, allowing apprentices, mechanics, field engineers, and journeymen to polish current skills, cross-train to acquire new ones and keep ahead of changes in equipment and technology.
