IBEW Local 66 has been representing skilled craftsmen in the electrical industry since January 13, 1894. It currently has 4,300 men and women working in a variety of trades related to the creation, distribution, maintenance, and operation of the electric system. Its jurisdiction covers numerous counties across Texas.
The primary goal of Local 66 is to enhance the quality of life of its members. The union offers a variety of services to its members, including Southwestern Line Constructors Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program, health coverage, life insurance, and other benefits programs.
