Carpenters Local 254 is a labor union that represents nearly 3,700 hardworking carpenters who serve Sussex, Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Essex, Union, Somerset, Middlesex, and Mercer counties in New Jersey. The local union is affiliated with the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
The union provides its members with a 5-year Apprenticeship program that covers Scaffolding, Aerial Lifting, Blueprint Reading, Welding, Rigging, Material Handling, Layout with Level and Transit, Industry-Relevant Arithmetic, and Work Site Safety, in addition to all aspects of the carpentry profession.
