Bricklayers Local 2 (British Columbia) is an affiliate of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, founded in 1865. Its membership comprises skilled craftworkers such as Brick Masons, Tilesetters, Corrosion and Refractory Bricklayers, Stone Masons, Marble Masons, and Pointer Cleaner Caulkers, representing the trowel trades in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.
The union has collective agreements in a wide range of sectors, including tile, terrazzo, brick commercial and institutional, and industrial, providing its members with various work opportunities. Its members have experience working in diverse environments such as pulp mills, smelters, boilers, high-rises, schools, hospitals, low-rise, and single-family residential areas.
