Since 1889, Bricklayers Local 1 (Washington) has been representing skilled craftworkers in the trowel trades in Western Washington and Alaska. The members of this union include Bricklayers, Stone and Marble Masons, Tile Setters, Terrazzo Workers, Pointer/Cleaner/Caulkers, Refractory Workers, and Tile/Marble/Terrazzo Finishers.
Through the Western Washington Masonry Trades (WWMT) Apprenticeship Program, the local union members receive high-class and thorough on-the-job training in every aspect of the trade. Furthermore, all eligible members receive a set of benefits such as health & welfare plans, pensions, and other benefits.
