Established in 1913, UA Local 630 represents over 1,200 Pipefitter Welders, Plumbers, and HVAC technicians who serve Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Highlands, Glades, Hendry, Okeechobee, Indian River, St Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands in Florida. The scope of work for Local Union members includes but is not limited to miscellaneous HVAC projects, Back-Flow Testing, Retro-fit projects, the maintenance and outage work at Nuclear Plants, and Chiller Service.
Local 630 offers not only five-year apprenticeship programs, but also continuing education opportunities including journeymen training, certification, and an associate’s degree program. Additionally, it also offers several benefit programs for its members, such as medical, dental, vision, prescriptions, and wellness care.
