Ironworkers Local 568 is a trade union representing nearly 200 experienced craftsmen who serve numerous counties in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. They build roads, bridges, power generation plants (coal, wind, and water), hospitals, educational facilities, and shopping malls.
The Local Union was chartered on September 29th, 1937 as a branch of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers.
All Local 568 members have access to defined benefit pensions, health & welfare, and free upgrade training. Additionally, all workers who are interested to get hands-on and technical skills training may enroll in the Maryland State Certified Apprenticeship Program.
