Laborers’ Local 230 unites nearly 900 men and women working in Connecticut’s construction and energy industries. The union was chartered in 1918 as an affiliate of Laborers’ International Union of North America.
Members of LiUNA 230 are Construction Craft Laborers who use a wide range of skills in many different jobs. Its members construct highways, bridges, tunnels, transit and energy infrastructure, demolition, and renovation projects.
They possess expertise in a variety of construction-related fields, including general construction, hoisting and rigging, OSHA safety, concrete placement, building roads, and site preparation.
