Chartered on September 22, 1921, Ironworkers Local 378 is a mixed labor union that currently encompasses 2,500 tradespeople. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, structural steel, precast concrete, metal buildings, reinforcing steel, ornamental iron, fabrication, curtain walls, welding and rigging, and machinery moving. Local 378’s jurisdiction covers from west to east, Oakland to Vacaville, and from north to south, Lakeport to Crows Landing.
The Local 378 JATC offers its members a high-class 4-year apprenticeship program and ongoing journeyman training. All eligible members also receive various health benefits, annuities, scholarships, pension and retirement plans, mental health assistance, and more.
