Chartered on December 28, 1908, Ironworkers Local 46 represents hundreds of skilled workers in Calhoun, Macon, Cass, Mason, Christian, Menard, Dewitt, Montgomery, Effingham, Morgan, and 10 more counties across Central Illinois.
Its members perform structural steel erection and detailing, precast concrete erection, ornamental handrail, and stairs, curtain, and window wall system installation, reinforcing placement for concrete in building and bridge construction, and many other services.
Ironworkers Local 46 JATC ( Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee) provides the union members with top-notch and thorough apprenticeship training. Additionally, all eligible members get medical coverage, pension benefits, eye and dental care, etc.
