Located in Ashland, Kentucky, UA Local 248 is a union representing more than 550 Professional Plumbers, Steamfitters, and HVACR technicians across 24 Eastern Kentucky Counties. Its members work on various industrial, commercial, and residential plumbing, piping, and HVAC projects.

Local 248 members undergo intense training via registered apprenticeship programs that include classes on pipe fitting, welding, and plumbing. Through a Collective Bargaining Agreement, the union ensures its members receive fair wages, excellent health insurance, dental and eye care, great retirement benefits, etc.
