Headquartered in Henderson, Kentucky, IUOE Local 181 is a mixed labor union representing around 4,500 experienced Hoisting & Portable, and Stationary Engineers. Hoisting and portable engineers primarily work in the construction field with heavy equipment while stationary engineers work in various occupations including healthcare, maintenance, and public sector jobs.
Its jurisdiction includes 26 counties in Southern Indiana and all counties in the state of Kentucky with the exception of Boone, Campbell, Kenton & Pendleton.
