Studio Utility Workers Local 724 – represents Utility Workers in the Motion Picture Industry, and also works in Theme Parks and Outdoor media in San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, Kern, Santa Barbara, and seven other Southern California counties. Its members support the Carpenters, Painters, Electricians, Plumbers, Plasterers, Sheet Metal Workers, and other crafts in TV and Film Production.
Local 724 is linked with the Southern California District Council of Laborers (SCDCL), which serves over 27,000 members in 12 Southern California counties. The SCDCL brings together the Local Unions that fall under its jurisdiction in order to advance the economic and other goals of LIUNA members.
The District Council and its affiliated Local Unions represent general construction laborers, a range of specialty construction workers, public personnel, and studio utility employees.
