Laborers’ Local 231

Local 231 was chartered on August 15, 1933, and is an affiliate of the Laborers’ International Union of North America.

Currently, Local 231 serves about 660 men and women who carry out a variety of tasks required for the construction of the counties it covers. Its jurisdiction includes Adams, Hancock, Pike, Mason, Fulton, McDonough, Schuyler and Tazewell counties in Illinois.

Local 231 also offers several benefit programs to its members. Among them are training provided by the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), health and pension programs, etc.
