Founded in 1895, IBEW Local 6 serves nearly 3,000 working men and women in San Francisco County, California. They are responsible for all Utility, Inside, and Sound and Communications work. Local 6 is a part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Union members have the advantage of receiving job-specific training. In cooperation with the NORCAL JATC, Local 6 offers its members a comprehensive Sound and Communication Apprenticeship program. Alternatively, there is an option to pass the training program provided by the San Francisco Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee.
