Laborers’ Local 5 represents Hod Carriers and Common Laborers and covers the jurisdictional boundaries of Southern Cook and Southeast Will Counties Illinois. It currently has a membership of about 1,200 people who work on construction sites throughout its service area.
Union Laborers have the advantage of receiving job-specific training. The Chicagoland Laborers Training and Apprenticeship Fund provides all union laborers with access to a robust apprenticeship program.
