Ironworkers Local 846 was chartered in 2004 and currently represents over 1,000 active members and 60+ signatory contractors throughout the United States. It has the jurisdiction for all reinforcing steel, post-tension, and related components in parts of, or the entirety of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Local 846 Apprentices and Journeymen have access to premier training programs, including apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, and certification programs. The Union also offers its members a number of benefits programs. Among them are extensive Health and Pension plans, Dental and Vision care, Vacation plan, Paid Maternity Leave, and many more.
