Ironworkers Local 808 is made up of over 900 experienced tradespeople who work in the Central Florida area. It was established in 1965 as a chapter of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers.
Its members erect common structural steel in the form of Shopping Centers, Malls, and Warehouses, in addition to custom structures such as Sports Complexes, Hospitals, and Roller Coasters. They also build foundation and concrete structure reinforcement, as well as stairs and handrails, fences, glass, precast structures, and parking decks.
All union members have access to a comprehensive 4-year apprenticeship program that covers every facet of the ironworking trade through the Local 808 Training Center. Moreover, its members receive a number of benefits including good wages, retirement benefits, and health insurance.
