Ironworkers Local 417

Established on October 29th, 1927, Ironworkers Local 417 currently has approximately 400 members and over 600 signatory contractors. Its jurisdiction includes the New York State Counties of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster.

It is a mixed Local whose members perform all phases of Ironworking: structural, rebar, ornamental, and reinforcing. They build two to five-story buildings, roads and bridges, fences, curtain walls, windows, and so on.

The Local 417 Training Center provides intensive training to its members through a four-year apprenticeship program as well as continuing education classes. Furthermore, all members receive a set of benefits, including retirement, healthcare, dental, vision coverage, and more.
