Since 1916, IBEW Local 82 members have built and maintained the facilities and electrical systems in the Dayton-Miami Valley Region. In particular, they serve Clinton, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren Counties, Ohio. The Locals’ jurisdiction includes Inside, Maintenance, Teledata, Radio-Television Broadcasting, and Manufacturing work.
All workers who want to learn hands-on and technical skills can enroll in the Dayton Electrical Trades Apprenticeship Training Program, which is sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
