In 1940, Local Union 245 was granted its charter to represent skilled electricians in an area encompassing 18 counties across Ohio. Its members are divided into several categories of electrical work, including Government, Line Clearance Tree Trimming, Outside, Radio-Television Broadcasting, and Utility work categories.
In cooperation with the American Line Builders Apprenticeship and Training (ALBAT) Committee, Local 245 offers comprehensive training programs for those who want to become Outside Line workers, Cable Splicers, Traffic Signal, Transmission, or Substation Technicians.
