Carpenters Local 54

Established on January 22, 1887, Carpenters Local 54 represents approximately 1,200 skilled and experienced workers who specialize in various areas of carpentry in Chicago. Their areas of expertise range from the heavy highway and infrastructure work to interior systems, residential homes, piledriving, welding, and diving.

It is associated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council (MACRC).

Through the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Apprentice & Training Program, Carpenters of Local 54 have the option to enroll in a four-year apprenticeship program that includes academic and hands-on training as well as continuing education classes.
