Ironworkers Local 401 is a trade union representing nearly 1,100 highly skilled craftsmen who serve the city of Philadelphia as well as parts of Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties in Pennsylvania. This Local Union is affiliated with the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers.
The members of Local 401 are trained through a four-year apprenticeship program in various skills, including erecting structural steel, precast concrete structures, miscellaneous steel, fences, towers, pre-engineered metal buildings, and other steel structures.
